A school has been on this site for over 100 years in one form or another and now the current building and grounds are transformed into a community center serving the local communities of Badger, Miramonte and Pinehurst. The school is owned by the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District which is generously allowing us to use the premises for only $1 a month, with the understanding that it is run by a non-profit organization that organizes activities that educate and provide services that benefit the entire community

Covid Vaccines at Sequoia Community Center!
Oct. 2020:The Jordans & Amelia put up our new banner! Looking good!!
With just a few day's notice, the Sequoia Community Center opened for a Covid Vaccination event on April 6. While the Tulare County Health Department had previously not been able to bring vaccinations up to the SCC, Supervisor Eddie Valero was able to make it happen. Thus, the call to action went out, the flurry of plans took shape and by 10:00 a.m. shots were being delivered to local residents. All in all, 40 people were able to get vaccinated at the two-hour event. Thanks to all who made this a great sucess!
Photos of the Center
These are photos of the Center, a beautiful facility that we are so lucky to have for our communities! There is one very large room with a stage at one end and a project area at the other, an office, kitchen, and library, three bathrooms (one for handicapped) a playground, large sports field, covered picnic area, and two brick buildings down the hill that used to be bus barns.
Grand Opening Celebration
On November 16. 2019 we had our Grand Opening! Superintendent Yolanda Valdez of the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District cut the ribbon, with Eddie Valero, Tulare County Supervisor and Lloyd McClard, longtime School Board Member from Badger.
