The Sequoia Community Center is a Non-Profit 501©(3) on the site of the former Sierra School at 50151 Whitaker Forest Road, Badger CA 93603. A school has been on this site for over 100 years in one form or another and now the current building and grounds are transformed into a community center serving the local communities of Badger, Miramonte and Pinehurst. The school is owned by the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District which is generously allowing us to use the premises for only $1 a month, with the understanding that it is run by a non-profit organization that organizes activities that educate and provide services that benefit the entire community

 Our mission:

To connect and create opportunities for the residents of           Badger, Pinehurst, and Miramonte

 Our vision:

To enrich our foothill communities and bring enhanced

value and joy to mountain life.

FOODLINK Partnership

Eddie Valero, the Tulare County Supervisor. has arranged a weekly free food delivery to this area every week. The distribution is on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00. Wednesday at noon is the deadline to put in your request.

If you or someone you know would like to participate in these weekly deliveries, please send contact information to Joni Jordan by either email, text or call (559-553-2225).  The deadline is noon on Wednesday.  Once you have signed up, you don't need to do so again--we'll have you on the list!

Next, all deliveries will come to the Sequoia Community Center.  It is an easy access point and we can route traffic and do quick and easy delivery right into each person's vehicle--staying safe for all of us!

This is a new effort and the program is still being refined. Currently our distribution is on Mondays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Check here for updates.

SEQUOIA COMMUNITY CENTER EVENTS – Temporarily Suspended

In accordance with guidance from CDC and public health, the SCC Board of Directors has come to the difficult decision to temporarily suspend programming at the center. The situation with Covid-19 is changing rapidly. Since we are a community made up largely of the at-risk population, we feel responsible to do our part to ensure the safety and well being of the community.  Therefore, we have cancelled classes and will postpone upcoming events.

The Board of Directors and volunteers will continue to work behind the scenes to plan and prepare the ongoing development of the center to bring classes, programs and events in the future.

We look forward to re-opening fully when the situation is clear. Until then, we wish you all a safe and healthy season.
