The Sequoia Community Center is a Non-Profit 501©(3) on the site of the former Sierra School at 50151 Whitaker Forest Road, Badger CA 93603. A school has been on this site for over 100 years in one form or another and now the current building and grounds are transformed into a community center serving the local communities of Badger, Miramonte and Pinehurst. The school is owned by the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District which is generously allowing us to use the premises for only $1 a month, with the understanding that it is run by a non-profit organization that organizes activities that educate and provide services that benefit the entire community

 Our mission:

To connect and create opportunities for the residents of           Badger, Pinehurst, and Miramonte

 Our vision:

To enrich our foothill communities and bring enhanced

value and joy to mountain life.

During this challenging time of the pandemic we have had to pull back our programs. Meanwhile, we continue to develop new ways to serve the community. And now we want to let you all know that—YES! We are still here and ready for what is next! In addition to our new banner we’ll be improving our signage out front so we can keep you informed of events. Stop by to get your copy of newsletters & information flyers.

Photos of the Center

These are photos of the Center, a beautiful facility that we are so lucky to have for our communities! There is one very large room with a stage at one end and a project area at the other, an office, kitchen, and library, three bathrooms (one for handicapped) a playground, large sports field, covered picnic area, and two brick buildings down the hill that used to be bus barns.

Grand Opening Celebration

On November 16. 2019 we had our Grand Opening! Superintendent Yolanda Valdez of the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District cut the ribbon, with Eddie Valero, Tulare County Supervisor and Lloyd McClard, longtime School Board Member from Badger.
